Year ago I traded in my lab-coat for an apron (the latter completely figurative) and suffice it to say that it was a good decision. For everyone. You see, neatness organization and repeatability are mandates in a successful laboratory, while in a successful kitchen, well, messes can and will be cleaned up…eventually. In the final analysis, what matters is how the concoction tastes. So I’m able to experiment and innovate and invent with impunity and need not fear the direr consequences of klutziness.

I’m using this category to file all entries pertaining to my culinary experiments, while quirks of taste will carry other edible adventures. Or at least for now that’s how I think I’m organizing this blog. Am still figuring out the kinks and capabilities of the system.
